Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join a leading mechanical contracting organization specializing in commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects. This individual will play a critical role in the preconstruction phase by developing accurate cost estimates for HVAC, process piping, and industrial piping projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication and installation processes, and construction estimating practices.This position works closely with project management, engineering, procurement, vendors, and subcontractors to deliver competitive and comprehensive project bids. It is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in growing into project management or other leadership opportunities within the construction industry.Day-to-Day Responsibilities? Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope and requirements.? Perform material, labor, and equipment takeoffs for mechanical construction projects.? Solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors and negotiate competitive costs.? Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, overhead, and profit considerations.? Prepare and submit complete and accurate bid proposals within established deadlines.? Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams throughout the estimating process.? Present and explain estimates to internal stakeholders and clients when necessary.? Research market trends, material pricing, and industry developments to maintain competitive bids.? ? Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology. ? Mentor and develop less experienced Field Engineers on all field tools and technology. ? Serve as local contact for technical issues. ? Offer effective solutions for complex system issues. ? Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects. ? Responsible for ensuring that systems operate properly, to include controls, sensors, and software. ? Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports. ? Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction. ? Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer. ?
