In this role, you will work within an agile development team, that includes software developers, business analysts, product owners, and subject matter experts (SMEs). You will be expected to write code for the front end and the back end. You will be expected to write automated tests for front end and the back end. You will work closely with the teams Business Analyst to define the product scope, ensuring alignment with business goals. As the Team Lead, you will be accountable for the technical design and at times will need to communicate technical information in a non-technical manner. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining an appropriate application-level architecture for the team, organizing development work, and ensuring the code quality meets the standards. You will conduct code reviews and act as the gatekeeper for the code base, ensuring the coherence of the product as it evolves. This opportunity is with one of our largest scientific research companies we partner with and is expected to be a 2-year-long project with the opportunity to convert full-time. Upon submission to our client, well request two professional references. Insight Global is hiring a Service Maintenance Engineer for a large Agricultural client in in the Des Moines, Iowa area. This individual will be working in a highly automated warehouse and distribution center with custom automation and be responsible for system support and troubleshooting (60%)as well as preventative maintenance (25%) for conveyors, robots, sensors, valves, barcode scanners, printing systems, and controls. The role will also involve continuous improvement projects (15%) for designing and fabricating tools, fixtures, carts, etc. The ideal candidate will be interested in a long term engagement with the team and client as a vital resource to the team. Insight Global is looking for a Principal Software Engineer for one of our retail clients in Des Moines, IA. As a Software Engineer, you’ll work as a member of a cross functional agile team focused on building great user interfaces and customer facing products. You’ll create reusable components that are shared across many application and work with other team members to cross-pollinate ideas and skills. You’ll find, monitor, and address performance issue and take features from conception to final production deployment. In the role, you’ll contribute heavily to user story definition that takes our technology stack into consideration, but also continue to push the bounds of what is possible. You’ll work heavily in a paired programming environment and mentor other engineers. Software Engineers will be working on full stack development with customer facing product but all working on the back end as well.
