The Senior Buyer / Procurement Manager oversees strategic purchasing activities to support a high performance manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for managing global suppliers, optimizing cost and quality, and ensuring a reliable supply of materials and components. The ideal candidate brings deep procurement expertise, strong negotiation skills, and hands on experience working with international vendors and complex manufacturing environments.Key Responsibilities:? Lead procurement activities for raw materials, components, equipment, and services across domestic and international markets.? Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support production goals, cost reduction initiatives, and long term supply chain stability.? Identify, evaluate, and qualify global suppliers; negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure competitive advantages.? Manage supplier relationships, performance, and compliance with quality, delivery, and service expectations.? Collaborate with engineering, production, planning, and quality teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and manufacturing requirements.? Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and global supply chain risks to inform purchasing decisions.? Responsible for purchase order creation, approvals, and procurement workflows to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.? Resolve supplier issues related to delivery delays, quality concerns, or capacity constraints.? Lead cost saving initiatives, value engineering efforts, and continuous improvement projects.? Maintain accurate procurement data, contracts, and supplier records within ERP/MRP systems.? Day-to-Day Responsibilities? Full project life-cycle development of HL7, EDI, or other data-type interfaces using Epic Bridges, Rhapsody, and related integration tools? Partner with Epic application teams and business stakeholders on large-scope initiatives by gathering requirements, developing test plans, and ensuring data accuracy? Analyze, support, and maintain existing and planned HL7 and non-HL7 integrations, with a focus on efficiency and standards? Provide production support to maintain enterprise data integrity? Serve as an active contributor within Information Services teams while promoting a positive, collaborative environment? Work independently across all phases of interface analysis and development with minimal supervision? Review upgrade documentation related to integration features and evolving business requirements? Escalate risks, hard stops, and technical barriers to the Integration Manager as needed? Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members to ensure timely and effective integration delivery? ? Partner with existing internal report developers to review and analyze the current Jira reporting backlog.? Perform technical and functional analysis of approximately forty (40) outstanding reporting tickets.? Identify root causes, dependencies, data issues, and opportunities for consolidation or retirement.? Design, develop, and implement reporting solutions as required based on Jira ticket content, including but not limited to:o Report enhancements or defect fixeso New report developmento Data model adjustmentso Query optimization and performance tuning? Collaborate with business stakeholders and internal teams to validate requirements and confirm solutions.?
