DoD System Integration Engineer

Sterling Heights, MI

Insight Global is seeking a System Integration Engineer to support one of our defense customers out of Sterling Heights. This role is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and troubleshooting system integration benches and lab environments used to test complex C5ISR and combat vehicle systems. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on engineering experience, thrives in a customer-facing lab environment, and enjoys working across electrical, mechanical, and software domains to ensure system interoperability and mission readiness. Essential Job Functions:- Design, engineer, implement, and verify system integration benches, test racks, cables, harnesses, and lab configurations to improve usability and maintainability- Ensure system integration benches accurately reflect current system configurations and support testing of the latest system software for functionality and interoperability- Troubleshoot system, hardware, software, and integration issues impacting lab or bench performance and develop effective solutions- Provide electrical, mechanical, and software support for combat vehicle system bench planning, design, development, and execution- Interface with Army and DoD program offices to understand C5ISR system interoperability and vehicle platform integration- Support system testers with a customer-service mindset to enable efficient and effective test execution- Coordinate with government personnel to plan, schedule, and execute system bench activities- Maintain configuration management of lab assets, including updating drawings and documentation to reflect current configurations- Identify, procure, assemble, and build lab materials and components as required- Perform mechanical assembly and system setup as needed- Maintain and manage system bench assets and configurations- Work collaboratively with engineers, Army customers, and cross-functional teams- Develop a deep working knowledge of C5ISR and combat vehicle subsystems$40/hr to $60/hr : Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. DoD System Security Engineer (SSE)

Sterling Heights, MI

Insight Global is looking for a System Security Engineer for one of our largest defense clients out of Warren, MI that will be fully onsite. This person will be responsbile for ensuring the development and delivery of cybersecurity and program protection capability for DoD acquisition programs through the implementation of an approach based on cost, schedule, performance, and risk. They will lead the evaluation and balancing of security contributions to produce a coherent security capability across the technology system and the DoD acquisition program, in order to integrate all aspects of system security. This person will also assist in conducting trade-off analyses and will integrate contributions from system security engineering disciplines such as anti-tamper, cybersecurity, exportability features, hardware assurance, software assurance, supply chain risk management; and security specialties (personnel security, industrial security, physical security, etc.). There will be a focus on Cyber survivability to assess the ability of the system to perform its mission and functions, in the face of cyber-attack, by the anticipated adversaries, and to operate effectively in a cyber-contested environment. Other responsbilites include:- Provide a program protection assessment of requirements documents to program management- Identify critical program information (CPI) including inherited designated science and technology information- Determine the threat to CPI- Identify personnel required to fulfill all pertinent program protection roles to engineering and program management- Identify vulnerabilities to CPI- Perform risk analysis- Recommend appropriate security controls for an acquisition program – Provide technical support to register an acquisition program with the applicable component(s) cybersecurity program- Document program protection planning in the systems engineering plan (SEP), PPP and system security plan (SSP)$40/hr to $60/hr : Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Insight Global is looking for a Business Analyst to join one of our state and local government clients in a hybrid role. This role serves as a key liaison between the agency, vendors, and external consultants to ensure IT solutions are aligned with strategic objectives, enterprise standards, and business needs. The individual partners closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, architects, and stakeholders to lead requirements gathering, solution design reviews, testing oversight, and agile delivery activities while ensuring compliance with methodologies, policies, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities include:- Ensure project alignment with strategic plans, policies, and enterprise standards- Review and approve project schedules, estimates, and project management artifacts in compliance with PMM and SEM Facilitate requirements gathering sessions using waterfall and agile methodologies, documenting business processes and system impacts- Lead solution and artifact reviews with enterprise architecture, security, and technical stakeholders, including participation in EASA development- Serve as the primary liaison between agency clients, vendors, and external consultants for application and project-related matters- Collaborate with Product Owners to develop and refine agile user stories with clear acceptance criteria (BDD/Gherkin) and support backlog prioritization- Support and participate in agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and refinement sessions- Approve and oversee integration, performance, system, and user acceptance test plans; validate test data and results- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, defect logs, and requirement traceability matrices; distinguish defects from new requirements and initiate change requests as needed- Facilitate defect resolution, functional and regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing- Develop training materials and deliver training to stakeholders- Create system and data flow diagrams to support RFP documentation and solution design efforts$30/hr to $55/hr : Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
