The Breast Ultrasound Technologist works directly with the operations manager, the office manager and any other staff assigned to the location. The Sonographer will perform clinical breast ultrasound procedures utilizing a background in anatomy, physiology, physics, and instrumentation to provide technical information to aid the radiologist in diagnosis. A sonographer must also possess certain values and abilities, including social perceptiveness, critical thinking, clear communication, active listening, and patient problem sensitivity.Essential Job Functions:- Operates Ultrasound equipment to produce images of the body?s organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.- Train and evaluate new and current sonographers- Act as a liaison between the sonographers and the radiologists- Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical function, pathology, and anatomical data.- Records test results in written form with comparisons to the radiologist.- Inspects and maintains ultrasound equipment as specific by the manufacturer.- Explains the ultrasound procedure to patients to ensure comprehensive understanding of the test.- Presenting images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team- Work closely with the Mammography technologists and – – – Radiologist to ensure the capture of appropriate information and prior imaging.- Review all prior images and reports before completing an exam.- Utilize PACS, RIS, EMR and any other systems related to imaging.- Work closely with the Office manager and support staff to ensure a positive and efficient patient experience.- Maintains supplies necessary for the ultrasound department.Functions – % of timeComplete Ultrasound Scans – 65%Complete and Document Patient History – 20%Converse with Radiologist about Ultrasound Images – 10%Answer Calls from patients and physicians with questions about Ultrasound Services – 5%Additional Job Functions:- Complete all assigned compliance and education requirements.- Assist in special projects.- Other duties as assigned.- Training of other technologists as needed.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Role Overview: Cable Cribbing LaborerTechs form the backbone of the cable handling crew. They conduct the hands-on tasks required to safely load and stow a 250 km undersea cable onto a barge.
