A leading banking/financial services organization is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to join their Technology & Innovation group, driving architecture and ownership of client services and client onboarding platforms.This role is a hands-on architecture position with strong leadership responsibilities, focused on designing scalable, secure, and highly integrated systems across internal platforms and external partners. The ideal candidate will operate comfortably in ambiguous environments, take end-to-end ownership, and lead both technical direction and execution across cross-functional teams.This individual will play a critical role in modernizing API ecosystems, enabling secure integrations, and supporting payments/card processing platforms, while partnering closely with business stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end solution architecture for client onboarding and client services platformsTranslate complex business requirements into scalable, secure architecture designs and system blueprintsLead architecture and integration strategy across .NET, Azure, APIs, and enterprise data platformsDrive development of API frameworks from scratch, including integration with Snowflake, Salesforce, and third-party systemsEstablish and enforce API security, mTLS, and enterprise security standardsLead architecture for identity & access management (IAM), including SSO implementationPartner with security teams on risk management and vulnerability remediation strategiesProvide architectural leadership across payments systems and card processing platforms (TSYS strongly preferred)Work closely with business stakeholders to perform requirements gathering and feasibility analysisLead and mentor engineering teams while driving delivery in an Agile environmentOperate with a high degree of ownership across application operations and IT lifecycle managementCore Technical & Leadership Focus~30% Application Ownership / IT Operations~25% Architecture (design & strategy)~30% Leadership / Driving initiativesRemaining time: Hands-on technical design & executionWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Supports a hybrid media engineering environment with a focus on cloud infrastructure, automation, and application reliability across AWS and on-prem systemsWorks within an SRE/DevOps model to maintain, migrate, and modernize infrastructure at scaleMigrate existing custom Terraform implementations into Terraform Enterprise, establishing standardized, scalable infrastructure practicesBuild, maintain, and optimize infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AnsibleSupport and operate cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments spanning 400?500 servers, including Linux-based systemsPartner with application support teams to troubleshoot production issues, with a strong focus on networking (TCP/UDP, latency, connectivity) and system performanceProvide L1-level storage and infrastructure troubleshooting, including I/O and system bottlenecksImplement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments (Terraform pipelines)Develop automation and tooling in Python to improve system reliability and operational efficiencyIntegrate observability and monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog), leveraging telemetry and AI-driven insightsDeploy and support automation agents for self-healing and operational workflowsSupport data pipelines that feed operational and system data into centralized AI/analytics platformsContribute to ongoing cloud strategy across AWS (primary) and Azure (secondary)We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
