Insight Global is seeking a System Engineer to support a large commercial client. This candidate must have a physical security background and experience supporting access control systems (Software house CCure or Genetec). The will be responsible for performing lab evaluations including setting up test environments, developing test plans and associated documentation, and executing testing for physical security equipment. This candidate will be supporting a mixture of data center work and large commercial buildings.Responsibilities:Develop and execute market surveys, lab evaluations, proof of concepts, and pilots of various physical security technologies.Assists with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel componentsParticipates in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the life cycleDevelops system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysisProvides technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysisDevelops scenarios (threads) and an Operational Concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment, that satisfies operational, support, maintenance, and disposal needs.Reviews and/or approves system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and completePrepares time-line analysis diagrams illustrating the flow of time-dependent functionsWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Duties and Responsibilities?Provide mechanical design support, including 3D modeling of parts and assemblies as well as generating related drawings.?Contribute to the planning and execution of Design of Experiments (DOEs).?Prepare and deliver technical presentations covering design concepts, reviews and DOE.?Support planning and implementation of design validation and product qualification activities, which may involve hands-on tasks, such as prototype fabrication and testing.?Support product definition and structuring in the Advantest PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system?Communicate effectively and timely, in an organized and structured fashion, using collaboration/communication tools like Teams/SharePoint/Jira/Confluence/WebexWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
