The Payroll Manager is responsible for the accurate, compliant, and timely execution of payroll while also serving as a key problem-solver and process owner for payroll-related operations. This role goes beyond processing to include identifying root causes of issues, improving systems and workflows, and ensuring payroll processes scale with the organization. This is a hands-on, player/coach role that manages a small team while actively participating in payroll operations. The Payroll Manager will also partner closely with HR and Finance and take ownership of select benefits administration processes. Tasks will include:Payroll Operations & Compliance?Oversee and actively participate in end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. ?Ensure payroll transactions including wages, benefits, taxes, garnishments, and deductions are processed correctly. ?Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and payroll regulations. ?Review and reconcile payroll data, reports, and related filings (e.g., 401(k), tax reporting). Problem Solving & Process Improvement?Independently identify, diagnose, and resolve complex payroll issues, including root cause analysis across systems, processes, and data. ?Proactively identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to payroll processes, controls, and systems. ?Partner with HR and Finance to streamline workflows and improve data integrity across systems (Paycom and related tools). ?Support ongoing automation efforts and help drive a more scalable, efficient payroll function. Team Leadership?Manage and develop payroll staff, providing direction, coaching, and performance oversight. ?Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on execution as needed. ?Ensure appropriate cross-training and continuity of operations. HRIS & Systems Ownership (Payroll-Related)?Serve as a key owner of payroll-related components within the HRIS (Paycom), ensuring data accuracy and system optimization. ?Partner with internal stakeholders to implement system updates, enhancements, and process changes. Benefits Administration (Partial Ownership)?Support and, over time, take ownership of select benefits administration activities, including reconciliations, vendor coordination, and plan audits. ?Ensure alignment between payroll and benefits deductions and reporting. Reporting, Audits & Stakeholder Support?Prepare and analyze payroll-related reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for internal stakeholders. ?Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and responding to inquiries. ?Serve as a resource to employees and managers for payroll-related questions, providing clear guidance and issue resolution.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. An employer is looking for a contract Service Desk Specialist to support their internal employees working in their company locations throughout the US. 90% of this person’s day will be responsible handling level 1 inbound calls/chats and accurately logging the interactions within the ticketing system. They will take around 20-30 calls a day, respond to chats in a timely manner, and work tickets to support the franchises in any computer issues, sign in issues, or operations. After their three-week training period, they will be responsible for understanding the company’s propriety software and resolving or escalating tickets to proper channels. This is a remote role once training onsite is completed but this employee needs reliable connectivity and a good working environment at home. This person also needs strong customer service and communication skills. Shift flexibility is also required.Shifts Open:-3 night shifts ? 7P-3A-1 day shift ? 9-5P ? Service, install, troubleshoot refrigeration systems, boilers, cooling towers and chillers, air handlers, steam, gas-fired appliances, pumps, valves, and system piping, and special equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES? Refrigeration Systems: Service, install, troubleshoot, and safely handle refrigerants using standard safe practices and adhering to federal refrigerant guidelines as well as documenting any transfer of refrigerant.? Boilers: Service, install, maintain, clean, and trouble shoot hot water supply, hydronic heating, steam, associated piping, insulation, and any other pressure vessel.? Cooling Towers and Chillers: Service, install, maintain, clean, and trouble shoot water-cooled and air-cooled chillers and their associated condensers and cooling towers, piping, and insulation.? Steam: Service, install, maintain, clean, and trouble shoot steam piping, control valves, condensate return systems, and insulation.? Air Handling Units: Service, install, maintain, clean, troubleshoot, and insulate, including but not limited to, supply air fans, return air fans, exhaust fans, and makeup air fans.? Gas-Fired Appliances: Service, install, maintain, clean, troubleshoot, and insulate gas-fired appliances.? Renovation: Service, fabricate, install, maintain, clean, troubleshoot, insulate, and order materials for all aspects of renovation work.? Pumps, Valves, and System Piping: Service, install, maintain, clean, troubleshoot, and insulate, including but not limited to, all aspects of hot/chilled water and condensate return pumps, seals, bearings, coupling, isolation valves, control valves, proper shaft alignment, and related piping.? Special Equipment – install, maintain, clean, troubleshoot, and insulate, including but not limited to, all aspects of environmental boxes, growth chambers, air compressors/air driers, vacuum pumps, liebert units, spot coolers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and autoclaves.?
