Position SummaryInsight Global is seeking a Project Development Engineer for a leading distributed energy and power infrastructure organization. This engineer will function in a unique hybrid role that combines technical engineering expertise with customer-facing business engagement. The team sits between product manufacturing and EPC operations, helping customers develop power distribution solutions focused on solar, battery energy storage systems, generators, switchgear, and critical infrastructure projects.This position is ideal for a consultative engineer who enjoys interacting directly with customers, supporting sales efforts, and developing technical solutions rather than performing detailed equipment design work. More than 50% of the role involves customer engagement, making it a strong fit for candidates with a project engineer, sales engineer, consulting engineer, or application engineer background. Engineers will support major national accounts and data center initiatives while partnering closely with internal sales, manufacturing, and engineering stakeholders to bring projects from initial concept through execution. The role offers full remote flexibility, exposure to high-profile infrastructure projects, and the opportunity to influence strategic customer solutions in a rapidly growing market. One of our customers is seeking a Customer Solutions Architect to sit remotely. This role functions as a mini business owner for the Metal Forming and Plastics machine builder segment across the United States. Approximately 40% of the role is customer-facing, serving as a trusted advisor to machine builders and helping them leverage automation and digitalization technologies within their equipment. About 30% is supporting Siemens sales teams by understanding customer challenges, building technical solutions, and helping accelerate opportunities through the sales cycle. Another 15% focuses on strategic business development, identifying future market opportunities, supporting trade shows and marketing initiatives, and driving long-term growth plans for the business. The remaining 10-15% involves business reporting, market analysis, and tracking vertical performance across the nation.
