Mission Critical is an international practice that involves exciting, collaborative work across many different departments.This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of several engineering disciplines on mission critical projects.Responsibilities:? Mostly a client facing role: Direct interaction with clients to provide direction for prioritization of internal engineering design deliverables. ? Plan, organize and direct engineering projects; including, the overall safety, cost, schedule and quality of assigned projects.? Ensure that the project review process and other quality control guidelines are followed.? Establish project teams, coordinate activities of multiple disciplines, ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.? This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.? Executes complex assignments requiring the use of advanced techniques, resulting in the development of new or improved processes, equipment and/or technological methods.? Develop and evaluate plans for major projects.? May assess feasibility or soundness of proposed applications when data is insufficient, or testing is advisable.? May coordinate departmental or divisional project studies, reports or project design assignments.? Progressive design and project management responsibilities.? Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.? We are seeking a detail-oriented Piping Detailer to support the design, modeling, coordination, and fabrication of commercial and industrial mechanical systems. This role is responsible for transforming conceptual sketches, engineering documents, and field information into detailed models and fabrication drawings using industry-leading software tools.The ideal candidate will have experience in piping detailing, BIM coordination, and construction documentation. This position offers a unique blend of technical drafting and project coordination responsibilities, with work evolving throughout the project lifecycle. Early project phases are heavily focused on modeling and detailing, while later phases emphasize coordination with trade partners, project teams, and clients. Key Responsibilities: Modeling & DetailingAnalyze sketches, design documents, notes, and project specifications to determine the most effective approach for creating accurate models and fabrication drawings.Develop detailed piping and plumbing models using Revit, AutoCAD, Fabrication CADmep (Fab MEP), and related BIM tools.Produce spool drawings, fabrication drawings, installation drawings, and construction documents.Review completed work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.Apply building codes, construction standards, and trade practices throughout the detailing process.Maintain drafting standards and ensure consistency across project deliverables. Coordination & Project CollaborationCollaborate with project managers, engineers, foremen, fabrication teams, and field personnel to resolve design and constructability issues.Participate in BIM coordination meetings with other trades, clients, and project stakeholders.Identify and resolve clashes within building models to support efficient installation and fabrication.Coordinate piping and plumbing systems with HVAC, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.Support project teams throughout construction by incorporating field feedback and design revisions.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. A client of Insight Global is seeking a CAD Technician to add to their Overhead Transmission group. This is a growing team, and is seeking an eager individual to start as a CAD Technician to eventually advance to a Designer with room for growth from there. Additional Responsibilities:Prepare new drawings and revise existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline. Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects. Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs.Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.Research solutions to project concerns and present solutions to design problems.
