Insight Global is seeking a Java Integration Developer for an insurance client on a full-time permanent basis. This role will support a newly implemented insurance platform as it transitions from implementation into ongoing Application Maintenance and Technical Support (AMTB). The successful candidate will join a newly formed support team, with a primary focus on production support, defect resolution, system enhancements, and maintaining critical integrations following platform go-live.The developer will function as a key member of the production support team, responsible for troubleshooting application issues, investigating data and integration failures, developing enhancements, and maintaining APIs and microservices that enable communication between internal systems and external partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include investigating production incidents and defects, troubleshooting integration and data issues, developing and supporting Java-based microservices, building and maintaining REST and SOAP APIs, writing SQL queries to analyze application behavior and data discrepancies, supporting deployments and releases, participating in backlog refinement and sprint ceremonies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of system reliability and performance. The successful candidate will also participate in knowledge transfer activities and help establish long-term support processes as the platform enters production.This is a permanent opportunity based in either Calgary or Toronto with a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week in office.
