A civil engineering firm is seeking a Civil Design Engineer (Level 1 or Level 2) to join their team. This role involves assisting in the design of civil and construction projects, primarily focusing... on roadway site design and water/waste water. This person will be managing various civil projects throughout San Diego, the City of Dana Point, and more.Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with a team of engineers to assist with grading, utility, and improvement plans. Prepare estimates for quantities and costs of materials. Analyze surveys, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects. Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and standards. Assist in the preparation of hydrology reports, water quality management studies, SWPPS, water and sewer studies, EMRAS, and other engineering documents. Assist in the design of energy-efficient or environmentally sound civil structures. Lead and support interns and CAD technicians on projects.
