We are adding a Payroll Specialist to support new-hire entry, weekly timecard processing, and employee record maintenance. This role supports multi-rate and job-costed labor, union and/or prevailing wage compliance, and close coordination with project management and accounting to ensure proper labor distribution, deductions, and reporting. This individual will work directly within the General Assembly organization and be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Support the General Assembly production area by identifying and implementing process improvements to optimize manufacturing operations and increase throughput.Conduct detailed time studies and labor analysis to evaluate workstation effectiveness, cycle times, and operator utilization.Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and constraints impacting line performance and vehicle output.Develop and implement line balancing strategies to improve workflow, reduce downtime, and ensure operations consistently meet takt time requirements.Create, modify, and maintain manufacturing layouts using AutoCAD and other engineering tools to improve material flow, ergonomics, and overall plant efficiency.
