Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Building Engineer to support the daily operations and maintenance of a 250,000-square-foot, four-story commercial office building in Independence, OH. This role is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining critical building systems, with a strong focus on central chiller plants, cooling towers, and large-scale commercial mechanical equipment. This is not a rooftop HVAC position; candidates must have experience operating and servicing central plant systems in a commercial environment.The Building Engineer will perform preventative maintenance, seasonal equipment startups and shutdowns, respond to tenant service requests, and coordinate with vendors and contractors on repairs. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, lighting, carpentry, and fire alarm systems, managing work orders, assisting with in-house construction projects, reading plans and schematics, and helping maintain a safe, comfortable environment for a fully occupied office property.
