We have an opening for a Mechanic Technician with one of the world’s leading energy companies, with approximately 60,000 employees working in countries around the world. The Shift Technician position is an integral part of a dedicated team consisting primarily of mechanics and technicians. Drive CDL equipment, maintain CDL with A and N credentials and aerial lift certifications (on-the-job training provided) ?Measure, cuts, bends, threads, assembles poles and installs electrical conduits. ?Install controls and distribution apparatuses such as switches, relays, circuits, and breaker panels. Other Duties:?Make routine inspections of installed equipment and/or systems to detect hazards and needs for adjustment/replacement. ?Construct new and used controller cabinets. Construct or fabricate parts, using hand tools, according to specifications. ?Build new and used Traffic Signals, re-lamp, rewire, build bases, install handholes. ?Operation of a bucket truck, trencher, boom truck and auger truck to install and move traffic signal post, poles, spans, and equipment – Install underground conduits, hand holes, foundations and pulling in wire. ?Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects. Use of hoists, hand lines, blocks and tackle to move, raise, lower poles. ?Use a laptop to upload and download signal timings into controllers. ?Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. ?Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.?Perform other related duties and projects as needed. ?This position supervises or leads part-time employees such as Seasonal Laborers and Traffic Signal Mechanics ?Electrical tools, power tools, cement tools, augers, specialty equipment such as bucket lifts and platforms all provided.?Must adhere to electric code and safety regulations. $75k to $83k per year annual salary.
