Insight Global is seeking a Systems Administrator to help manage the deployment of multiple HPE Green Lake kits throughout the AMER, EMEA and APAC regions. The deployment is part of a server lifecycle refresh, where physical ESX server clusters will be replaced by the new HPE Green Lake infrastructure. Job responsibilities include: – Asset discovery of all data centers that are in scope to receive a cluster (account for servers to be replaced, their rack locations, etc).- Manage on-site resources in conducting rack surveys, and then analyze the surveys to determine the racks capability to house the new clusters. This includes confirmation of power capacity and layout, existing rack space, and network port capacity. Candidate should have experience in data center environments and understand data center standards in terms of rack layouts, power distribution, and network cabling.- Verify network configurations are correct before doing the installation. Network configurations will be completed by a network team and provided to the candidate for review. Configurations include trunk and VLAN assignments and jumbo frames.- Verify the server equipment has been properly installed, including rack RU location, cabling, labeling, and overall cleanliness.- Verify all servers are reachable following installation.- Fully deploy the HPE Green Lake Infrastructure, including its underlying SAN storage. Experience with Cisco Hyperflex, Cisco Intersight, and Dell ME5012 arrays are preferred as well for decommission of the old hardware.- Fully deploy all virtual servers.- Following the application migrations to the new virtual servers (managed by application owners), manage the decommissioning of the legacy Cisco ESX servers and storage, including unracking and eWaste.- Discovery of all data centers that are in scope to receive a cluster.- Manage on-site resources in conducting rack surveys, and then analyze the surveys to determine the racks capability to house the new clusters.
