A lead defense contractor sitting in Simi Valley, CA is looking to hire an onsite Systems Engineer III, that will be working on a 9/80 schedule, that will be supporting their Systems Engineering Integration and Test department. This engineer will be working with their Design team to develop a variety of innovative Unmanned Systems for defense and commercial applications. Their department covers the full development and lifecycle of products ranging from new starts all the way through from transition to production. This person will be supporting next-generation unmanned air vehicles and robotic systems. He/she will be assisting in multiple R+D projects supporting their business line offering products ranging from (VTOL aircrafts, autonomous flight technology, quadcopter etc.). Most of their products are weapon systems and they’re one way attack vehicles and they do some ISR using cameras. This position will interact with Controls Engineers to allocate requirements and develop architectures to drive simulation models. These development efforts will generally be small focused design teams, which will require engineers to use a range of skills and tools across traditional engineering, computer science, and mathematical disciplines. Because of the nature of the development efforts, the engineer will need to work on a variety of stages of development including requirements definition, concept design, prototyping, detailed design, validation and verification testing.
