This role sits within an Application Management Services (AMS) / Operate model and focuses on post implementation support, optimization, and enhancement of Workday Payroll, with a strong emphasis on Canadian Payroll. The Workday Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME) serves as the functional authority for Workday Payroll configuration, processing, and ongoing optimization. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and scalable payroll operations, while supporting enhancements, testing, and post production support. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Canadian Payroll, Workday Payroll solutions, and client facing support in complex payroll environments. Success in this role requires a blend of functional expertise, problem solving skills, and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations while ensuring payroll continuity and compliance.What You?ll DoAs the Payroll consultant, you will manage end to end payroll support activities in a post production environment. Your day to day work will include collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, translating business needs into system solutions, and ensuring compliance with Canadian payroll legislation and union agreements.You will support payroll integrations, assess downstream impacts across related Workday modules, and troubleshoot payroll and data issues.
