Distribution Design Engineer

A company is looking for a Distribution Design Engineer to join their team. This engineer will aide in the upgrades of a major energy providers distribution grids. They will be in charge of scheduling and developing construction plans for the project work. This person will create work packages, create construction plans, bill material and will be in charge of the scope or work schedule. This person will be in charge of owning their own field work where they will be taking notes, pictures, measurements and will ultimately be in charge of the designing the project construction plans. The work will be developed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systems. The project work will require performing engineering calculations that may include: structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, transformer sizing, voltage drop and flicker, and coordination of protective devices.Pay Range: $29-$31/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Insight Global is seeking talented and qualified professionals to work a long term contract with one of our largest technology clients in the Richmond, VA area. This person will join the infrastructure integrity team and work between the commissioning and construction teams to stop and/or prevent any maintenance issues after turn over of live data centers from the general contractor. Projects can range from a large scale fiber project, to GPU deployments, to the construction of a car park. We are seeking dynamic individuals to perform program management & administrative duties to ensure the physical structure of the newly constructed data center meets the design specifications of the owner. Candidates will be responsible to ensure Data Centers are built to the correct specs, participate in design calls, site walks & inspections, document any potential installation or construction issues, and track the remediation of issues through correction. Responsibilities:Data Center Operations:Accountable for the ongoing Critical Environment (CE) support for all service lines ensuring the on-time and defect-free delivery of customer capacity within our SLA commitments.Ensures compliance with data center business units and service-level policies.Engages with appropriate teams and resources to execute tasks or projects.Manages programs associated with area of responsibility.Demonstrates conscientiousness on cost adheres to budget requirements; keeps costs reasonable and contributes to staying within budget.Follows and adheres to safety and security policies and procedures.
