Insight Global Partners with United Way in “Be the Light” Event in Atlanta

In an inspiring kickoff, Insight Global’s Be the Light Tour, a full-service career center experience, partnered with United Way to bring job-readiness resources to Atlanta job seekers. The Be the Light Tour’s mission is to empower and serve communities by providing direct access to job-readiness resources and career-building strategies. As a true vehicle of hope, we aim to promote economic sustainability and opportunity for everyone. Our goal is to impact 15,000 lives by 2025.

“The event was a great way for us to connect with jobseekers in a unique way through our non-profit relationships,” said Kahlil Bostick, Insight Global Social Impact Coordinator. “Its an accessible way for job seekers to find more opportunity.”

147 Atlanta locals registered for the event which included a free headshot studio, resource fair with local organizations, interactive career workshops, and one-on-one consultations with Insight Global hiring professionals.

This Be the Light event marks the first mobile career event series that was put on in partnership with a nonprofit organization. “United Way is already doing so many great things in our community here in Atlanta. Joining them on these efforts was a no brainer,” said Bostick. “Working with their corporate partnerships was phenomenal. They were with us in lock step through the whole journey.”

40 volunteers from Insight Global were in attendance to help make the event a success. “It is amazing to see our people show up in such a special way for people looking for the right opportunity to grow,” said Bostick.

Insight Global Director of Strategic Accounts, Allie Streppa, volunteers her time with the Be the Light Tour by leading interactive workshops with event participants. “Building confidence to enter the job market is often peoples’ biggest hurdle,” she says. She uses these workshops as a time to interact with event participants to understand their concerns—from what to wear to an interview to how to answer certain questions like “why do you have a two-year career gap?”

Free virtual career-readiness workshops are available year-round to job seekers or those interested in furthering their career.
