A client in the Detroit area is seeking a HR Manager for a contract to hire opportunity. The Human Resources manager will oversee all day-to-day HR operations and serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leadership. This role is responsible for managing full-cycle hiring, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations while operating as a one-person HR department. The position plays a critical role in supporting organizational growth, seasonal staffing needs, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities- The HR professional will manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and compliant experience for all new hires. This includes conducting phone screens after resumes are reviewed by hiring managers, coordinating new-hire training, and leading employee orientation programs.- This role is responsible for maintaining HR compliance and reporting, including handling employee documentation related to FMLA, PTO tracking, employment verifications, and student loan paperwork. – The individual will ensure accurate recordkeeping and adherence to applicable labor and employment regulations.- The position will coordinate employee benefits administration, including leading open enrollment activities each November and serving as a liaison between employees and benefits providers.
