Definition of Responsibilities:? Prepare, design, develop electrical application designs for complete locomotive electrical systems per customer specification, engineering standards, and previous designs.Major Duties and Responsibilities:? Develop electrical circuits and systems, including schematic and application drawings, for locomotive application, to meet customer requirements and design specifications.? Provide support to manufacturing (not to exceed 10% of available time) for questions / corrections / modification related to locomotive electrical applications, resolve issues, and produce the appropriate design change documentation.? Works with suppliers to understand and develop the application of electrical components, equipment, or systems to the locomotive.? Analyze and interpret locomotive customer and engineering specifications to develop required electrical schematic and electrical applications.? Manage, coordinate, and clearly communicate the status of all electrical application deliverables per customer order and manufacturing schedule.? Conduct design reviews, as required, for all phases of electrical application development.? Clearly and accurately produce all necessary documentation of electrical designs as required by Manufacturing and Product Design.? Stay current with new electrical technology for potential impact in locomotive electrical system design.? Organize workload in order to provide updates and status reports in a timely manner.? Insight Global is looking to add a Senior Business Systems Analyst to their client?s Service Activation organization to support complex business and technology initiatives across enterprise applications and platforms. The initiative they will be joining is called Evolution, a large-scale modernization effort to replace and decommission legacy provisioning, ordering and back-office systems with a new microservices-based platform. They will serve as a key liaison between business and technical teams, leading defect triage, root cause analysis, production support, and end-to-end issue resolution. This person will be responsible for taking ownership of incidents and support tickets from intake through closure, including investigation, coordination across teams, validation of fixes, and communication of outcomes to stakeholders. For example, a technician could be onsite trying to activate a customer?s service. If they run into an issue, they?ll enter a ticket into Jira that will kick to the tier 1 team to resolve. Once resolved, a jira ticket will come to this person to essentially recreate the issue, troubleshoot it and work to figure out how to avoid the problem from happening again. On average, they will be responsible for handling 3 production tickets/week with an SLA of 8 hours per ticket. They will work closely with developers, architects, QA teams, support personnel, and business partners to determine whether issues are related to code defects, system configuration, integrations, data quality, reporting logic, or business process gaps.
