We are seeking a Senior Quality Inspector who is responsible for identifying, resolving, and eliminating spacecraft and product quality issues that arise during production operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all in-process and final production inspections meet rigorous aerospace quality standards, supporting manufacturing compliance, product traceability, and continuous quality improvement. The inspector will collaborate closely with multiple departments to verify that the hardware conform to engineering specifications and company procedures. This is a 2nd shift, 9/80 position, 3PM – 12AM.Typical Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform in-process and final inspections of components, subassemblies, and assemblies across manufacturing, integration, test, and launch operations to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.- Document and report nonconformances, defects, and deviations identified during manufacturing, integration, test, and launch operations.- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities by providing inspection data and factual information to Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Design teams.- Follow and contribute to inspection and test plans, acceptance criteria, and work instructions applicable to manufacturing, assembly, test, and launch processes.- Conduct routine process checks and verify adherence to manufacturing and assembly procedures and quality standards.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspection results and traceability records in ERP/MES systems such as Manufacturo, Costpoint, JIRA, etc.- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure quality standards are consistently met throughout the production lifecycle.- Assist with readiness reviews by confirming inspection readiness and compliance across all production phases including manufacturing, assembly, test, and launch.- Analyze inspection and defect data to identify trends and escalate significant quality concerns to the appropriate stakeholders or quality leadership.- Provide technical support and clarify workmanship standards and acceptance criteria to production personnel as needed.- Participate in continuous improvement efforts by highlighting inspection-related inefficiencies, process gaps, and opportunities to enhance qualityWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. The Manager, Electrical Engineering is responsible for the electrical systems of the KARNO generator, including high-voltage power electronics, battery systems, low- and high-voltage architecture, wiring harnesses, and the hardware that converts linear motion into electrical output. This is a working manager role: the position leads and develops a team of electrical engineers while remaining directly involved in technical execution, including circuit architecture, schematic review, and hardware bring-up in the lab. The Manager is accountable for the technical excellence, safety, and reliability of the electrical engineering function, and for establishing the design standards and review practices the team works to. The position plans team capacity, owns hiring and development for the electrical engineering staff, and partners with mechanical, controls, supply chain, and program management on system integration.
