Insight Global, an international staffing and services company headquartered in Atlanta, announces Kara Hollis, a vice president at Leonard Green & Partners, joined as a new member of the Board of Directors, effective July 11, 2023.
“Kara is the best,” Bert Bean, Insight Global CEO, said. “I’ve worked with her for the last six years, and she’s become a true friend during that time. While she’s a huge fan of Insight Global, she’s never been afraid to challenge me or my team to think differently.”
“Two of the things I value most about Kara: She is present, and she encourages. Kara is locked in on IG and makes time for everyone. It makes me so happy to have her officially join our board.”
Hollis fills the seat previously held by DeWayne Griffin, who vacated his position on the Board when he became Insight Global’s Chief Digital and Information Officer in June. Hollis had previously been a board observer with Insight Global since 2017, the same year she joined Leonard Green & Partners (LGP) as an associate.
The Insight Global Board of Directors works closely with senior management to set direction, offer perspective, and hold the company accountable to our goals. Hollis will add unique experience to the board and help provide oversight and guidance on important strategic matters.
After growing up in Atlanta, Hollis graduated cum laude from Harvard University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She then went on to get her JD/MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and Stanford Law School.
“Insight Global does things the right way, and it yields results,” Hollis said, noting that she is interested in “growing the culture and continuing to leverage it to find new avenues for growth.”
Before joining LGP, Hollis worked at Goldman Sachs and Signal Sciences. Her experience in strategic growth comes from working with portfolio companies at LGP, such as Lakeshore Learning, The Container Store, Parts Town, Eyemart Express, and Veritext.
In addition to her role as vice president at LGP, Hollis is a board member for Downtown Women’s Center, the only organization in Southern California focused exclusively on unhoused women. She is also an Advisory Board Member for Slater Infrastructure Group, an Atlanta-based woman- and minority-owned infrastructure services firm. In her free time, Hollis enjoys spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, being outdoors, and watching TV and movies—considering herself “very well-watched.”
