150 College Students Will Compete for $60,000 in Insight Global’s Inaugural Sales Invitational

What happens when 150 university students are given a chance to compete in live sales scenarios, learn from top sales leaders, and pitch directly to a CEO? Insight Global is about to find out.

ATLANTA, GA —October 8, 2026 — Insight Global, an international talent, consulting and AI company is launching its inaugural Sales Invitational January 6–7, 2027, bringing university juniors and seniors from across the U.S. and Canada to its Atlanta headquarters for a two-day sales competition. The students will compete for $60,000 in prize money, with the top three competitors taking home $30,000, $20,000 and $10,000, respectively.

But the competition is about more than the prize money. Insight Global designed the event to give students an opportunity to experience sales in a way that goes beyond the classroom or a traditional sales competition.

Students will take part in three live sales role-play rounds, receiving feedback and coaching from Insight Global sales leaders along the way. They’ll work through real-world customer scenarios, build their communication and leadership skills, and get a closer look at what a career in sales can look like.

The final round of the competition will have the top five students pitching an AI solution from IG Labs, Insight Global’s AI software and services platform, directly to CEO Bert Bean and members of his executive team.

“We’re looking for students who are hungry to learn, eager to compete, unafraid to take on challenges, and excited about the future,” said Brett Alter, VP of Talent Acquisition at Insight Global. “If you’re bold enough to step outside your comfort zone and ambitious enough to bet on yourself, this is the opportunity for you.”

The company is opening the competition to juniors and seniors of any major, meaning students don’t have to be studying sales or have a background in the field to apply.

The application process starts with a 60-second video explaining why a student should be selected. Top applicants will then participate in a 10–15 minute virtual interview, with 150 students ultimately selected to compete in Atlanta.

For the students selected, Insight Global will cover flights and hotel accommodations. They’ll also receive the competition materials in advance and participate in a virtual training session to help them prepare.

Applications are open now and close Monday, November 9, 2026.
