We are seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to support power distribution design projects for utility and energy clients. This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate who is eager to learn distribution design, field data collection, utility standards, and project coordination while working alongside experienced engineers and designers.You will assist in developing construction-ready design packages for overhead and underground distribution systems and support both office and field activities.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing distribution engineering design packages, drawings, and documentationSupport field investigations, site walks, measurements, and as-built updatesUse power distribution software such as Katapult, Distribution Design Studio (DDS), and similar toolsApply utility standards, design guidelines, and basic NESC requirementsPrepare material lists, staking sheets, and project documentationCoordinate with designers, senior engineers, and project managers to resolve design questionsMaintain accurate records, notes, and field photos for project filesSupport permitting, easement reviews, and right-of-way documentationParticipate in training and mentorship to grow technical engineering skillsWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Engineer III to support power distribution and transmission design projects for utility and energy clients in the Houston region. This mid-senior engineering role is ideal for someone who can independently execute technical design tasks, support project engineering, and deliver high-quality construction packages with minimal oversight.You will collaborate with engineering staff, designers, project managers, and field personnel to develop construction-ready deliverables for overhead and underground distribution systems, transmission line modifications, and system upgrades.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and refine distribution and transmission engineering design packages, including plan & profile drawings, equipment specifications, and construction detailsConduct field investigations, site walks, and data collection to support engineering accuracyApply utility standards, NESC requirements, and client specifications to all engineering workPrepare material lists, staking sheets, BOMs, and as-built documentationSupport engineering analysis, including load checks, clearance reviews, and structural assessmentsCoordinate with project managers, designers, and utility representatives to resolve engineering issuesReview drawings and documents for quality control, accuracy, and complianceUse power distribution software such as Katapult, Distribution Design Studio (DDS), and similar tools to produce engineering deliverablesAssist with permitting, easement reviews, and right-of-way coordinationProvide technical guidance to junior engineers, technologists, or designers as neededWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
