The Mechanical Engineer will provide a wide range of engineering expertise and design management support services to assist the DOD client. The position will support more senior government project managers and fellow contractor project managers, who will work as part of a larger construction program. The ability to lead and work as a team AND work independently are critical. ISI is seeking an individual who will be a clear communicator, takes initiative and embraces project ownership.? Candidate?s primary role will be to support engineering aspects of pre-construction phase such as planning, engineering studies, design development management, and procurement package development . Candidate?s secondary role will be to support project managers who manage awarded construction projects with RFIs, submittals, and design intent clarification. ? Support Government acquisition efforts for both A/E services and Construction projects by coordinating efforts across Government working groups.? The position maintains construction administration data in Excel, web based software and files to be aggregated and used as metrics and briefing tools for senior leadership.? Regularly prepares and presents project status briefings, develops and maintains performance matrixes, prepares well-written technical reports.
