The Senior Analyst will assist the Director / Manager of Data Governance in maintaining data quality frameworks, standards, and reporting practices, while collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders to improve data reliability. The position will also help document business rules, monitor critical data attributes, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the data quality space.Responsibilities ?Partner with business stakeholders and data owners to gather feedback on data quality issues, reporting needs, and dashboard requirements.?Participate in tool enhancement projects and contribute to the design of new reporting solutions and data quality monitoring capabilities.?Develop, maintain, and optimize data quality dashboards and reports to monitor critical data attributes and metrics across core business domains.?Coordinate with business data stewards and operational teams to document and refine business rules for data quality checks and reporting logic.?At the direction of team leadership, assess upstream and downstream data flows and ensure data quality monitoring covers key transformation points and business-critical processes.?Track and document data quality issues, working with business and IT teams to investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions.?Ensure that data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, uniqueness, validity) are well-defined and appropriately reflected in monitoring tools.?Coordinate ongoing management of data with business domain owners.?At the direction of team leadership, understands the upstream and downstream data impacts and develops, implements, and manages control structures and business rules used to govern data transformations.?Ensures data element lineage and other business and technical metadata is well documented.?Supports efforts to monitor compliance with established standards and metrics.?Identifies and supports execution of process improvement opportunities.?Implements corrective actions to resolve data quality problems at the direction of team leadership.?Participates in all key meetings and documents minutes and action items.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. The Cockpit team are generally finance analysts with Tableau skillsRole Background:We are looking for an additional functional/data analyst to join the existing team of functional/data analysts working on the SPOT data warehouse.The role of the functional/data analyst is to be the bridge between the Cockpit team, Data Engineering team, and Cognos TM1 team. The analyst understands the business data requirements and translates these into data definition and data transformation documents that are then build by the data engineers. The analyst can also be involved in testing, data validation and any sustain activity related to the flow and accuracy of the data in SPOT & Cockpit.Typically, the functional data analyst receives requirements for new and/or amended data pipelines from the Cockpit team or works with the Cognos TM1 team on new data sets that need to flow to SPOT & Cockpit.The current functional data analysts come from a range of backgrounds from data engineers to business analysts.
