About The Role The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for Chassis Fabrication is the technical authority on structural steel fabrication processes ? cutting, drilling, coping, fit-up, welding, and surface treatment. You own the process from raw steel to completed structural frame: setting the standards, solving the hard problems, and ensuring the fabrication line sustains the throughput we need. This role leads the fabrication-focused manufacturing engineering staff and reports to the Director of Manufacturing. Responsibilities Process Ownership ? Own all fabrication process standards: cutting, drilling, coping, fit-up, tack welding, weld sequencing, distortion control, and post-weld treatment. ? Design and document fabrication work instructions to AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code requirements. ? Establish and maintain the welding procedure specification library; ensure all production welders are qualified per AWS D1.1. ? Define and control fit-up tolerances for corner casting placement ? dimensional accuracy here is non-negotiable. ? Own the fabrication quality plan: in-process inspection points, dimensional verification, and weld inspection criteria. Line Performance ? Own fabrication takt time analysis: measure actual cycle times, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement. ? Lead root-cause analysis on fabrication defects, dimensional nonconformances, and weld rejections. ? Evaluate new fabrication equipment and processes; develop capital justification for investments that improve throughput or reduce defects. ? Support robotic weld cell integration: weld path programming strategy, fixturing requirements, and quality verification. Standards ? Maintain the AWS D1.1 structural welding program: WPS/PQR library, welder qualification records, and inspection records. ? About The Role The Sr. Facilities & Capital Projects Manager owns all physical plant assets, infrastructure systems, and capital equipment programs at our manufacturing facility. You keep the building production-ready while managing a continuous pipeline of capital equipment purchases, installations, and commissioning events. If the building or the equipment is ever the reason production misses a target, that’s on you ? and you won’t let it happen. Responsibilities Facility Management ? Own all facility systems: electrical distribution, HVAC, fire suppression, compressed air, lighting, and building management systems. ? Manage the preventive maintenance program for all facility infrastructure. ? Own air quality permit compliance: permit conditions, regulated operations, and annual reporting. ? Coordinate with landlord and property management on lease obligations and approvals for facility modifications. Capital Equipment ? Lead capital equipment procurement from RFQ through vendor selection, delivery, installation supervision, and commissioning. ? Own factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing for all major capital equipment. ? Manage equipment vendor relationships through warranty periods; maintain the capital asset register. Team Leadership ? Lead the Capital Equipment Engineer, Construction Coordinator, and on-site Facilities Technicians. ? The Analysts will make sure everything is refreshed, stocked up and ready for the start of school. They may be required to refresh laptops/various devices, organize the technology equipment across the school and various other random tasks to get the school ready. During the 2 weeks, the Analyst may also be pulled into random projects that pop up and need to be OK with a fluid environment and be able to pivot with ease. This position will provide technical assistance, consultation, analysis, and training services for designated jobsites. Job Duties and Responsibilities:?Assess specific job activities for safety risk and work with the VP of Safety, Safety Manager, and the Safety Department to create specific job safety programs as needed to ensure the safety of our employees and confirm compliance with OSHA?s rules and regulations. ?Write and implement site specific programs to ensure the safety of our employees and compliance with owners and contractor requirements. ?Daily jobsite visits to assist the Project Manager, General Foreman or Foreman in identifying and abating exposures to our employees. Accurate records of these visits are to be kept with hazards and abatements noted. ?Work with the site safety team and Project Supervisors to enforce safety policies through training, enforcement, and discipline. ?Investigate all incidents and near misses, prepare reports detailing causes and remedies to prevent reoccurrences. Review incidents with the VP of Safety, Safety Manager as well as our client management. ?Provide regular jobsite safety training using safety meetings, toolbox talks, or more formal methods as needed. ?Maintain working knowledge of current OSHA regulations. ?Review and modify safety policies as required, and recognition programs if applicable. ?Assist with the development of new training programs and present training materials to groups as needed. ?Assist the VP of Safety, Human Resources and Management with the enforcement of company policies, including Safety and Equal Employment Opportunity policies.
