On May 16, 2024, thousands of employees across our global offices joined together for Insight Global’s Field Day, an annual fundraising event in support of charity partner OneWorld Health. This year, our collective efforts yielded over $140,000 in donations for the non-profit, which is dedicated to establishing permanent, sustainable healthcare solutions in underserved regions of the world.
“Field Day represents both the hardship and joy we see in the communities impacted by OneWorld Health, and it’s great to see our people give back more and more each year,” said Tim Stutz, Chief Operating Officer.
“Our partnership is rock solid and built on the foundation of highly aligned values. We are so incredibly proud of the impact we’ve been able to make with OneWorld Health—both in dollars raised and, more importantly, time spent serving others.”
Field Day activities included:
- A Relay for OWH, where participants independently reached 2.6 miles with their activity of their choice (walk, run, bike, swim, etc.) at their own pace. The 2.6 miles represents how far an average patient must travel to reach an OWH clinic. Nearly 400 employees participated in the relay collecting 3,100 total miles in the process.
- A range of health and wellness challenges like pull-ups, planks, tug-of-war, and other movement competitions plus fun activities like egg toss, parachute game, and potato sack race.
- Encouraging all of our offices across the U.S., U.K., Canada, India, and the Philippines to engage in Field Day activities to help support a great cause.
Field Day continued with a virtual tug-of-war fundraiser, igniting friendly rivalry between divisions in the company. It proved to be a standout initiative, generating an impressive $80,000 in donations in just six hours.
The virtual tug-of-war, which pitted Team Bert Bean (CEO) against Team Sam Kaufman (CRO) in a good-natured (but passionately fought) competition across company divisions, was designed to foster unity and engagement within the organization while raising money for the company’s charity partner. It also allowed everyone across the globe to participate—no matter their location or time zone.
Every dollar generated during Insight Global’s Field Day contributes to the realization of sustainable healthcare in underserved communities across Uganda, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Our objective is to establish and support the construction of 10 clinics by 2025 in collaboration with OneWorld Health. The company has currently helped build seven clinics that have served hundreds of thousands of patients. More than 200 volunteers from Insight Global have gone on trips to serve the communities, too.
“Field Day is consistently my favorite day of the year,” said Hannah Jenkins, Insight Global’s Social Impact Coordinator, who organized Field Day.
“It’s a day when two things that positively impact culture collide: having fun at work and supporting a good cause. I am so proud that we work somewhere that not only values philanthropic opportunities but brings them directly to our people so we can be the light to the world around us in unison. I am so grateful that I get to help provide moments of authentic joy for our people.”
