Fiber Cable Splicers will be responsible for fusion splicing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic cable (single- and multimode) while meeting safety, quality, and customer standards. This role involves OTDR and power meter testing, basic troubleshooting, reading plans and maps, maintaining splicing equipment, and working in buried, aerial, underground, and building environments.Structure of crews: 2 man crew- 1 elite splicing and 1 apprentice in training/ entry level splicer starting out.Day to day:- Splice various types and sizes of fiber optic cable including single mode, multimode, loose tubeand ribbon.- Analyzes and troubleshoots basic technical problems or issues- Reviews, interprets, and works with various maps, drawings and blueprints, and testingdocuments.- Performs daily tests, checks, and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment.- Performs optical continuity and conformance testing – Makes splicing rearrangements on existing facilities in buried, underground, aerial, and buildingwork locations.On call schedule for every crew once every 5 weeksWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. ? Own and monitor facility mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, boilers, dehumidification, DI water) that support a controlled EV battery manufacturing environment.? Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, serving as the engineering escalation point for complex facilities problems alongside maintenance teams.? Oversee preventive maintenance strategies, equipment reliability, and performance trends using CMMS tools (e.g., Maximo).?
