The Superintendent will work closely with members of the Construction Management, Design Engineering, Facility Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Facility Operation, and Production Operation departments from planning, through installation and the start of production. As part of the EPC group, this team is focused on designing, collaborating, and support critical vehicle programs. This team member will supervise all on-site construction including scheduling of trade contractors, vendor tool installations, resolving day-to-day construction issues, performing day-to-day inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications while tracking project schedule. They will also be responsible to ensure the quality of the work being performed by contractors or team members in the field.What You?ll Do? Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities including Electrical, Structural, Process, Mechanical and Instrumentation scopes? Develop execution plans/schedules, participate in design reviews and ensure frequent communication with key project individuals, job site personnel and other Construction Managers? Manage contractors, drive the fieldwork (space ready and utility hookup) to ensure schedule stays on track and escalate any installation issues? Develop and maintain site logistics and execution plans? Employ a can-do attitude, working through challenges with all stakeholders? Work with Engineering teams to resolve design roadblocks immediately and enforce and maintain quality for engineering drawings and field installations; identify causes of issues and work with various teams to improve specifications and/or standards where required? A large automotive company is seeking a highly skilled Architectural Designer to join their team in Palo Alto.What You’ll Do:- Draw, organize and manage construction design packages, design reviews, and deliverables to support all aspects of construction, including scope of work, kick-off, MDR, 30%, 60%, 90%, IFP, and IFC, and CA phase and close out.- Communicate effectively across various design discipline teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, IT, EHS, Project Controls/Estimating, etc. to build relationships and ensure overall project design. – Handle RFIs, Submittals, Field verifications during CA phase as well as addressing plan check comments and other city requirements to ensure permit issuance on the drawings. – Understand different project delivery methods and define strategies for design and engineering deliverables including construction and permit packages for various jurisdictions.- Implement innovative design methodologies and own the full design and engineering efforts for infrastructure construction development from concept to delivery to meet aggressive goals and schedules.- Drive complex decisions, identify resource requirements, and highlight gaps across various stages for all projects.- Understand lean construction principles and fully integrated design using BIM.Pay Range for this role is: $40 – $50 depending on years of experience and educationWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
