Insight Global is looking for a System Administrator to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a... foundry for semiconductor microsystems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc.Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual server hardware, including initial rack/stack, cabling coordination, and firmware updates Deploy, configure, and administer Linux and Windows server environments in both on-premises and virtualized infrastructures Integrate systems with Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions and manage authentication/authorization services (Active Director, LDAP, etc.) Provide input and hands-on support for system architecture decisions, including virtualization platforms, storage, networking, and scalability considerations Support the design and build of a new Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment, including provisioning, performance tuning, and user access management Develop, maintain, and execute Ansible playbooks to automate system configuration, patching, and deployment workflows Implement and manage software installations and upgrades across server and desktop environments Collaborate with security, engineering, and operations teams to support infrastructure requirements and project timelines Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, OS, virtualization, and application-level issues across multiple environments Maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and provide operational support for occasional international meetings, with availability between 6:00 AM ? 7:00 PM (flexible schedule)We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
