The Client

A digital health and telehealth provider that provides at-home lab testing kits and virtual care services partnered with health plans to support member health outcomes at scale. Operating in a highly regulated healthcare environment, the organization needed a flexible workforce model capable of responding quickly to changing patient demand while maintaining clinical quality and compliance.

The Challenge

As HEDIS season approached, demand for virtual wellness visits increased significantly. One of the provider’s payer customers needed additional clinical support to help manage a surge in member appointments, creating immediate pressure on the organization’s ability to scale its workforce.

The challenge wasn’t simply finding qualified clinicians. The provider also needed to source, credential, and onboard nurse practitioners and registered nurses quickly enough to meet growing demand. In healthcare, credentialing is a critical process that verifies clinical licenses, education, work history, and background information before providers can begin patient care. Delays in credentialing threatened the organization’s ability to deploy talent when it was needed most.

The organization needed a partner that could move beyond traditional staffing support and help reduce operational friction across the entire workforce lifecycle, from sourcing and credentialing to onboarding, workforce management, and ongoing program oversight.

The Solution

Insight Global partnered with the client to deliver a customized telehealth staffing and workforce management solution designed to support both immediate clinical staffing needs and long-term program execution. Rather than focusing exclusively on recruitment, our team took ownership of the broader workforce strategy required to support a high-volume virtual care initiative.

The engagement included:

  • Deployment of more than 55 registered nurses and 18 nurse practitioners to support virtual care programs.
  • Accelerated sourcing and credentialing processes, reducing turnaround time to approximately two weeks.
  • Workforce deployment aligned with program launches and patient demand.
  • End-to-end program oversight, including performance tracking, retention management, and reporting.
  • Ongoing operational support to help address workforce engagement challenges, training needs, and IT-related issues.

The result was a workforce model capable of scaling quickly while maintaining the structure, oversight, and support required for healthcare delivery.

How We Did It

Telehealth Staffing at Scale

Insight Global mobilized a specialized team of clinical professionals to help expand the client’s care capacity during a critical demand period. By rapidly sourcing qualified registered nurses and nurse practitioners, we helped the organization build the workforce needed to support increased appointment volume.

Streamlined Credentialing and Onboarding

Credentialing often becomes a bottleneck when healthcare organizations need to scale quickly. Insight Global worked closely with the client to streamline sourcing, screening, and credentialing workflows, helping clinicians move through the process efficiently while maintaining compliance requirements. This approach reduced turnaround times to approximately two weeks, helping the client put qualified clinicians to work faster.

Workforce Operations and Program Oversight

Our role extended beyond deployment. Insight Global provided ongoing workforce oversight, supporting clinician engagement, retention efforts, performance tracking, and day-to-day operational management. We also helped identify and address challenges that could impact productivity, including training gaps and IT-related issues.

Real-Time Visibility

Healthcare workforce programs require continuous monitoring and coordination. Through reporting and operational oversight, Insight Global helped provide visibility into workforce performance, allowing stakeholders to manage changing demand with greater confidence.

How We Changed the Game

Many organizations facing workforce surges focus on filling open positions. This engagement required more than additional headcount.

The client needed a partner capable of helping manage the operational complexity that comes with scaling a clinical workforce in a regulated environment. Insight Global combined talent acquisition, credentialing support, workforce management, retention efforts, reporting, and operational oversight into a single solution designed around the client’s business needs.

By stepping into the day-to-day realities of program delivery, we helped create the conditions necessary for workforce scale, clinical readiness, and operational continuity.

The Insight Global Difference

Organizations need more than access to talent. They also need partners willing to stay close to the work and take ownership of outcomes.

For this engagement, Insight Global delivered far more than staffing support. We combined workforce expertise with operational execution, helping the client source and credential clinicians, support workforce engagement, track performance, and strengthen program operations throughout the engagement.

That ability to blend talent solutions with hands-on program support is what helps our clients navigate periods of rapid change with confidence.
