Insight Global proudly announces that its science-based greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets have been validated and accepted by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This validation confirms that Insight Global’s climate goals align with the latest scientific guidance and the Paris Climate Agreement’s goal of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
Insight Global’s Near-Term Science-Based Targets include:
- A commitment to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030, using a 2022 base year.
- A commitment to reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions from Purchased Goods and Services, Capital Goods, and Business Travel by 52% per full-time employee within the same timeframe.
“At Insight Global, we recognize the responsibility we have to reduce our environmental impact and lead by example in our industry,” said Katherine Slater, Sustainability Program Manager at Insight Global. “The validation of our science-based targets by SBTi reflects our dedication to sustainability and reinforces our commitment to meaningful climate action.”
Science-based targets are widely regarded as the gold standard for corporate climate action, ensuring companies set ambitious yet achievable goals grounded in the latest climate science. By aligning its emissions reduction strategy with these targets, Insight Global is taking a proactive approach to sustainability and contributing to global efforts to combat climate change.
