Insight Global’s Kesha Crump Speaks at Lyra Health’s Premier Mental Health Conference

Kesha Crump, Director of Benefits and Health Management at Insight Global, was a featured speaker at Breakthrough, Lyra Health’s premier mental health conference, held in Lake Tahoe, California. The exclusive two-day retreat brought together HR and benefits leaders from across the country to explore innovative strategies for advancing workforce mental health.

Crump joined a distinguished panel titled “Supporting Teams and Preventing Leaves: Manager Strategies to Transform Workplace Health,” alongside Amelia Subryan, Senior Manager of Health & Wellbeing at Lululemon, and Jay Le Quesne, Global Wellbeing and Engagement Program Manager at Zillow. The panel focused on empowering managers to play a proactive role in supporting employee mental well-being.

With over 20 years of experience in human resources, learning and development, and healthcare, Crump brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role. At Insight Global, she provides strategic leadership in managing leave programs, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, and retirement programs. She also plays a pivotal role in shaping the vision for global benefits administration, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.

Crump’s expertise is grounded in her Master of Public Health degree and a strong foundation in prevention science, which she leverages to improve health outcomes for employees and their families. Her leadership style emphasizes empowerment, engagement, and holistic well-being.

The panel emphasized that while managers aren’t therapists, they are often the first to notice when something seems off with their team members. By leveraging data to identify trends, organizations can shift from a reactive to a proactive approach in supporting mental health. Panelists also encouraged leaders to embody the qualities they wish to see in others—leading with empathy, authenticity, and care. Finally, aligning training and benefits programs to support these efforts is essential; when managers feel confident addressing mental health, the entire organization benefits.

“Our ideal environment is one where managers spot the signs early, feel comfortable checking in, and employees know they’ll be met with empathy, not consequence,” Crump said. “Don’t wait for a crisis. Teach your managers to lead with care and not just meet performance goals.”

Reflecting on the event, Crump added, “The energy was amazing at Lake Tahoe, where Benefits Leaders across the country came together to discuss ways to improve mental health in our workforce.”
