Insight Global is looking for a Lamination Technician for their aerospace client who specializes in composite components. This position is on-site in Brea, CA, working second shift, from 2- 10:30 pm.? Perform tasks associated with product and tool build including secondary bonding, potting inserts, curing, and wet laminating.? Adhere to all documentation including travelers, build manuals, red books, work instructions, quality procedures, inspection sheets, and drawings as applicable to the work being performed.? Perform mold preparation, sealing, and release tasks.? Laminate and vacuum bag customer product in compliance with engineering data and associated quality requirements.? Cure parts in company equipment such as ovens, autoclaves and presses.? We are seeking a Materials Lab Engineer (Generalist) to support the development and reliability of next-generation AR/VR devices. This role is hands-on and lab-focused, with an emphasis on materials characterization, coatings, and materials reliability/durability. The ideal candidate has broad materials knowledge, strong laboratory skills, and experience working with polymers, plastics, and metals in a product development environment.Key Responsibilities- Perform materials characterization and failure analysis to support AR/VR hardware development- Support the development, testing, and evaluation of coatings for performance, durability, and reliability- Conduct materials reliability and durability assessments, including environmental and stress testing- Prepare and analyze samples using chemical cross-sectioning techniques- Utilize characterization tools such as SEM imaging, optical microscopy, and fluorescence spectroscopy- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to identify materials issues and propose solutions- Document results and communicate findings clearly to engineering and product teamsWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
