The Senior Engineer is a technical authority and project engineer for electrical distribution systems that support steam generation. They are responsible for independent engineering decision making... and capital project execution to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant plant operation. This role combines strong electrical engineering expertise with full project ownership, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, vendor management, and commissioning.The individual supports steam and gas generating assets, with a focus on electrical systems and power distribution within the plant. This role applies engineering judgment across generators, transformers, switchgear, breakers, and protective relays, and will perform or review key power system studies to support system reliability and performance.The role requires strong design basis discipline, experience in regulated utility or heavy industrial environments, and the ability to identify and escalate engineering risks early. The Senior Engineer partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Project Managers, and Engineering teams, supports outages and field execution, ensures compliance with reliability and regulatory requirements (including NERC), and produces clear, defensible engineering documentation. Key Responsibilities? Serve as technical decision maker for electrical systems within generating stations?
