The MEP Superintendent will partner closely with project management, project teams, trade partners, design consultants, commissioning agents, and owners throughout execution and turnover.Key ResponsibilitiesMEP Project LeadershipLead day-to-day coordination of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and controls scope activities in an office-based capacityCoordinate MEP trade partners to ensure scope delivery aligns with project requirements, schedules, and quality expectationsFoster collaboration between project teams, design consultants, vendors, commissioning agents, and stakeholdersServe as the primary point of coordination for resolving complex MEP system and integration challengesScheduling & Project ExecutionCoordinate sequencing strategies to support project milestones and turnover requirementsPartner with project controls, scheduling teams, and project management to develop and maintain project schedulesUtilize planning tools and reporting processes to track progress and support schedule adherenceMonitor schedule impacts, identify risks, and support development of mitigation and recovery plansCoordinate equipment delivery planning, vendor activities, startup sequencing, and commissioning schedulesMEP Coordination & ConstructabilityLead MEP coordination meetings and facilitate issue resolution across trades and design disciplinesReview drawings, specifications, and BIM/VDC models for constructability considerations, system conflicts, and integration risksEnsure MEP systems are coordinated with architectural, structural, process, automation, and controls systemsSupport value engineering initiatives and constructability reviewsLife Sciences Systems CoordinationSupport coordination and delivery planning for critical systems commonly found in life sciences facilities, including:HVAC and cleanroom systemsProcess pipingBuilding automation systems (BAS)Electrical distribution systemsBackup power systemsLaboratory utilitiesFire alarm and fire protection systemsTemperature and environmental control systemsEnsure systems align with design specifications, quality standards, and operational requirements through coordination and documentation reviewQuality & ComplianceParticipate in quality reviews and ensure scope aligns with project specifications and industry standardsVerify compliance with applicable codes including NEC, IMC, IPC, NFPA, and project-specific requirements through coordination and documentationCoordinate inspections, deficiency resolution, and system acceptance activities with stakeholdersCommissioning & TurnoverSupport coordination of startup, testing, balancing, commissioning, validation, and turnover activitiesCoordinate issue resolution during commissioning and ensure systems achieve operational readinessTrack closeout items and support turnover readiness efforts to ensure successful project completionWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
