Governmental is responsible for the safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of all contracted construction work in the field for governmental projects based in Montgomery, AL, with required travel. This role oversees the placement and coordination of all project work, ensuring construction is completed in accordance with contract documents, design requirements, safety standards, budget, and schedule commitments. The Superintendent supervises subcontractors, craft labor, and self-performed work while serving as the primary on-site interface with owners, client representatives, architects, engineers, and internal project teams.The Superintendent plans, coordinates, and supervises all on-site functions including scheduling, engineering activities, material control, and day-to-day coordination with on-site administrative staff such as accounting and purchasing. This role manages all self-performed and subcontracted work to maintain quality, productivity, cost control, and schedule integrity, conducts weekly subcontractor meetings, and is responsible for weekly labor cost reporting. The role requires the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for long periods, lift and hold more than 50 lbs, talk, hear, and occasionally sit. The position also requires the ability to safely work in confined spaces and at extreme heights.
