Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Permitting Project Manager to support large-scale utility infrastructure programs, with a strong focus on permitting strategy, execution, and cross-functional coordination. This individual will lead the end-to-end permitting lifecycle, working closely with engineering, construction, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the full permitting lifecycle across multiple concurrent utility projects (distribution, transmission, or renewable energy).
• Develop and maintain permitting schedules, ensuring alignment with broader project timelines and milestones.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, construction, project controls) to define permitting requirements and proactively mitigate risks.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and external regulatory agencies, municipalities, and jurisdictional authorities.
• Oversee preparation, submission, and tracking of permit applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor permit status, identify potential delays, and drive solutions to maintain project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including ROW, environmental, and construction permitting requirements.
• Lead cross-functional meetings with stakeholders, providing regular updates on permitting progress, risks, and key decisions.
• Support issue resolution related to permitting constraints, regulatory changes, or stakeholder concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all permits, approvals, and regulatory communications.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline permitting workflows and enhance efficiency.
$55-60/HR

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ year of hands-on experience within utilities permitting.
• 2+ years of Project Management within the utilities industry
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Experience leading a team
• Experience working with stake holders and cross divisional teams

• Experience with engineering or communicating with engineering team
