Insight Global helped a leading healthcare payer overcome a major capacity challenge by scaling care management with 177 clinical and non-clinical professionals recruited, hired, and onboarded in 90 days.

The Client

Our client is a leading national healthcare benefits company serving millions of members through health insurance and care management programs. Its programs support diverse member populations, including people with complex clinical and care coordination needs.

The Challenge

A surge in DSNP membership created an immediate capacity challenge. The client needed to build a remote care management team within three months, but its existing internal capacity and retention strategy couldn’t support that level of growth on its own.

The scale of the work made the challenge bigger than finding qualified people. The client needed 177 professionals across multiple roles, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and non-clinical case managers. Those professionals also needed to be hired, onboarded, trained, and supported within a compressed 90-day window.

That called for a coordinated approach to talent, onboarding, engagement, training, and delivery.

The Solution

Insight Global delivered a custom team designed around the client’s rapid growth needs. We recruited, hired, and onboarded 177 RNs, LPNs, and non-clinical case managers in 90 days, giving the client the additional capacity it needed for its DSNP care management program.

But assembling the team was only part of the work.

Insight Global also deployed a project manager to oversee hiring timelines and consultant engagement. We worked alongside client leadership to co-develop training that supported onboarding and provided reporting around hiring metrics and retention.

Together, these capabilities created a more structured model around a significant expansion of the client’s care management team.

How We Changed the Game

Speed mattered, but so did what happened after each person joined the program.

Rather than treating the engagement as a high-volume recruiting exercise, Insight Global connected talent delivery with the support surrounding the team. Project management, onboarding, co-developed training, consultant engagement, and reporting gave the client additional structure as the program grew.

That approach reflects how Insight Global’s custom teams offering is designed more broadly: bringing together talent with management, onboarding, reporting, and engagement support.

For the client, it meant one partner supporting both the rapid expansion of its care management capacity and several of the operational needs that came with it.

Outcomes and Impact

The engagement delivered measurable scale within the client’s required timeframe:

177 clinical and non-clinical professionals recruited, hired, and onboarded.

90 days to build and onboard the remote care management team.

100% of Consultants were hired on for full-time positions after six months.

The team included registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and non-clinical case managers, expanding the client’s capacity across multiple areas of care management.

The Insight Global Difference

Large-scale healthcare programs depend on specialized expertise, strong execution, and an operating structure that can keep pace as teams grow.

Insight Global brought those elements together.

We could move quickly to identify and onboard the necessary clinical and non-clinical talent while also providing project management, consultant engagement, training support, and reporting around the work.

That combination helped turn an aggressive 90-day expansion into a structured custom team engagement, with support extending from hiring through onboarding and consultant engagement.

How We Did It

Our work brought several connected capabilities together:

Built the team at scale. Insight Global recruited and hired RNs, LPNs, and non-clinical case managers based on the client’s care management needs.

Managed a compressed timeline. A dedicated project manager oversaw hiring timelines and consultant engagement as the team grew.

Supported a stronger onboarding experience. Insight Global and client leadership co-developed training to support onboarding for the new team.

Created greater visibility. Reporting on hiring and retention metrics gave the engagement a measurable operating component beyond talent delivery.

Supported the team after placement. Consultant engagement remained part of the delivery model, helping support the people behind the program instead of ending the relationship at onboarding.

Our People Approach

Although our access to talent is unmatched, scaling quickly only works when the people joining the program have the support to get started successfully.

Insight Global paired rapid talent delivery with onboarding, training, project management, and ongoing consultant engagement. Rather than ending our role once positions were filled, we stayed connected to the team and provided reporting around hiring and retention.

The conversion results offer one measure of that approach: after six months, every consultant who received an offer to join the client full time accepted it.

For a program that needed 177 people onboarded in 90 days, the engagement demonstrated how fast growth can be supported by a structured, people-centered delivery model.
