Key Uses of AI in HR

Human resources artificial intelligence can be used to optimize various tasks and streamline the hiring process. Let’s look at some ways that using AI can help HR professionals

  1. Resume Screening and Pre-Screening Interviews: These tools can quickly analyze large volumes of resumes, identifying the most qualified candidates based on predefined criteria. This not only saves time but also ensures a more objective evaluation of applicants.
  2. Scheduling Interviews: According to our survey, 86% of hiring managers use AI to assist in scheduling interviews by automating the process, reducing the administrative burden on HR professionals. This allows HR teams to focus on more strategic tasks, such as engaging with candidates and assessing their fit for the organization.

Additionally, 77% use AI-driven cybersecurity training to help new hires understand and adhere to the company’s security protocols, enhancing overall organizational security.
  4. Onboarding and New Hire Paperwork: AI streamlines the onboarding process by automating paperwork and providing new hires with the necessary resources and information. This ensures a smooth transition for new employees and helps them become productive more quickly, which is why 69% of hiring managers use AI for this purpose.
  5. Creating Job Ads and Drafting Emails: AI tools assist 67% of HR professionals in creating compelling job ads and drafting personalized emails to candidates. This not only improves communication but also enhances the candidate’s experience.

Further Benefits

AI not only improves hiring efficiency but also frees up time for HR professionals to focus on their own professional development. The survey found that 61% of hiring managers believe that AI allows them to spend more time on personnel management.

Additionally, 60% say it helps them achieve a better work-life balance. This highlights artificial intelligence’s potential to enhance the overall well-being and effectiveness of HR professionals.

AI and Human Involvement: A Balanced Approach

Despite the numerous benefits of AI, HR professionals recognize the importance of maintaining a human touch in the hiring process. The survey revealed that 93% of hiring managers believe that AI is a useful tool but is not a substitute for human decision-making.

This sentiment is particularly strong among C-level executives, with 98% agreeing that human involvement is crucial to ensure a personable application experience. AI can assist with various tasks, but the final decision should always involve human judgment.
