On May 26, 2023, Insight Global announced the latest “Grit” clinic opening in partnership with OneWorld Health to provide sustainable, affordable healthcare to underserved communities around the world. The newest Insight Global-funded hospital in Honduras serves the capital city of Tegucigalpa.
“I know this new clinic will be a huge help to the people of Tegucigalpa because they have urgently needed access to quality, affordable healthcare,” said Carlos Urbina, OneWorld Health’s Country Director for Honduras. “It’s in a great central location, and it will change the lives of the people living and working here.”
The Grit clinic in Tegucigalpa is the second one in Honduras, and the sixth clinic towards our pledge of building ten new facilities by 2025. The name of these clinics is inspired by the late Kirby Steil, late Insight Global leader who in the face of his own health challenges inspired us with his perseverance and determination.
“This week’s grand opening event coincides with one of our team’s service trips to Honduras where we have 14 Insight Global ambassadors volunteering their time—one of the nine service trips we have planned this year for our employees with OneWorld Health. Through our partnership, we have served 74,558 patients, and this new facility will allow us to do more meaningful work to provide access to quality healthcare.” says Allison Green, Insight Global’s Senior Director of Philanthropy.
