The role requires experience in water/wastewater and/or heavy civil construction, process controls, automation, and interpreting P&IDs, one-line diagrams, control schematics, and the ability to collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to drive competitive and comprehensive bids. The ideal candidate has experience estimating in industrial environments, is comfortable working in design-build settings where scope may evolve, and brings strong technical knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, controls, and instrumentation.Duties & Responsibilities Include:? Assist Project Managers with all phases of the estimating and bid process from initial review through final submission ? Perform detailed electrical takeoffs using project specifications, one-line diagrams, P&IDs, control schematics, and site plans ? Quantify materials and labor for systems including medium/low voltage distribution, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, instrumentation, and control wiring ? Develop accurate cost estimates including labor productivity factors and material pricing ? Solicit and negotiate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers to build competitive bids ? Evaluate drawings and specifications to ensure complete scope coverage for electrical components ? Identify and account for general and special conditions in project cost estimates ? Support development of project budgets and schedules based on estimate outputs ? Apply productivity factors for complex project conditions such as confined spaces, phased shutdowns, and accelerated timelines ?
