An Insight Global client in the oil & gas services industry is seeking a Controls Engineer to support the daily design, development, testing, and commissioning of automation and controls systems used... in production enhancement and stimulation equipment. In this role, the engineer will spend their time developing and modifying PLC and Siemens-based control logic, supporting field commissioning activities, troubleshooting control system issues, and validating system performance against engineering and operational requirements.Day to day, this role works closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to design automation system architectures, configure and maintain industrial communication networks, and verify the interaction between software, hardware, and field equipment. The engineer will participate in hardware and software verification and validation, support lab and field testing, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
