Insight Global is hiring for an Intermediate Structural Engineer to support an underground mining contractor and engineering company that designs and builds critical mining infrastructure for mine... operators. This is a permanent position based in Canada, operating on EST hours, with a hybrid work schedule. In this role, the engineer will support the design and verification of underground and surface mining infrastructure, including shafts, underground supports, and heavy industrial structures. The work focuses on heavy-duty concrete and structural steel systems designed to withstand large static and dynamic loads, vibration, rock pressure, and harsh underground conditions.Day to day, the engineer will perform structural analysis, calculations, and member sizing for infrastructure supporting large vibrating equipment such as dewatering pumps, ventilation fans, and mine hoists (18?20 ft diameter).
