Job Description

Day to Day:
This is a hands-on role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining Palermo’s enterprise data warehouse to support business intelligence and analytics needs. The developer will collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions, optimize performance, and ensure data quality and integrity. Expect to work closely with IT and analytics teams, troubleshoot issues, and stay current on emerging data technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions
• Implement ETL processes for data integration
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders on data requirements
• Optimize and tune data warehouse performance
• Develop and maintain documentation for processes and architecture
• Ensure data quality through validation and monitoring
• Troubleshoot and resolve data warehouse issues
Stay updated on best practices and emerging technologies

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Data Warehouse Developer, Data Engineer, or similar technical data role
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and database management
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies (Oracle and Azure SQL Server)
• Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques and tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:

• Knowledge of Oracle data extract technologies (BICC and BIP)
Experience with Azure DevOps
