Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own the design, startup, and ongoing support of manufacturing equipment and tooling. This role is responsible for equipment and process readiness from specification through commissioning and sustained production. The Manufacturing Engineer will work hands‑on on the production floor, partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to support safe, reliable, and scalable operations.

Pay Range sits from $37-$38/hr dependent on YOE

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
Hands‑on experience supporting manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, routers, lasers, press brakes, or inspection equipment
Experience designing and supporting production tooling and fixtures (manual and automated)
Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD tools
Ability to lead equipment installation, commissioning, and handoff to operations
Experience troubleshooting equipment issues and driving corrective actions to reduce downtime
Working knowledge of PLCs, industrial controls, sensors, vision systems, or inspection equipment
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently on the shop floor
Ability to collaborate effectively with Manufacturing and Quality teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience applying DFM/DFA principles to equipment, tooling, or process design
Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability improvements
Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI) or production process changes
Manufacturing experience in marine, automotive, or industrial products environments
