Overview
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Superintendent to support the construction of a new steel mill. This individual will serve as the on-site electrical lead, working directly with project management, engineering, and electrical contractors to ensure electrical installation activities are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This is a hands-on field leadership position focused on coordinating electrical construction - not performing design work. The ideal candidate has extensive experience overseeing industrial electrical installations within steel mills or other heavy industrial environments.
Day to Day
• Coordinate daily electrical construction activities with contractors, foreman, and superintendents.
• Ensure electrical crews have the necessary drawings, materials, tools, permits, and equipment before work begins.
• Oversee installation of conduit, cable tray, power distribution systems, MCCs, switchgear, electrical panels, and field instrumentation.
Maintain daily field reports, safety documentation, RFIs, and project records.

• 10+ years of hands-on field experience in heavy industrial electrical construction
• Demonstrated experience in electrical equipment
• Experience leading or coordinating electrical contractors
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and installation packages
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Nice to Have Skills
• Steel mill construction experience (EAF/melt shop, hot or cold mill, galvanizing or coating line)
• Familiarity with Nucor or similar EAF-based steelmaking processes
• Prior experience as a craft foreman, superintendent, or owner's field engineer
• OSHA-30 certification (or ability to obtain prior to mobilization)
